Wine Shop Help (P/T & Full-Time Help in Pikesville, MD

We are seeking multiple PT and full-time wine, beer and spirits sales associate for our busy Baltimore County (two locations, near Pikesville/Owings Mills/North Randallstown) fine wine shop. Team members must be available days/evenings and weekends. For the right candidate who shows responsibility and leadership, the position could lead to assistant manager, potential manger role. Background / Skills Needed: - Good wine knowledge including broad familiarity of varietals, regions, and food-wine pairings; - Past experience in the industry (e.g., retail, restaurant, bartending etc); - Basic knowledge of spirits, including the not-so-typical and small batch brands; - Excellent customer service skills; and - Ability and willingness to pitch in when needed and stack 40 lb boxes. Assist with including helping customers, tasting new products, stocking shelves and ringing up customers. Must enjoy interacting with people. Duties will include assisting cellar manager with day-to-day operations, stocking, general upkeep, running the cash register, basic data entry, answering the phone, clerical work and fill the beer cooler without any issues when needed. This is a part-time (the flexibility to work nights, weekends and some full days), and is an hourly position. The ideal candidate will have a friendly, positive and professional disposition (non-smokers are preferred), MUST BE 21 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER AND HAVE THEIR OWN TRANSPORTATION!
